Welcome to Bill's Page

Who is Bill?

My name is Bill Brown and I have recently retired after experiencing a career in theatre arts that spanned a period of more than 47 years. Throughout those years, I was involved in every aspect of theatre, both in front of the curtain as well as behind the curtain. My main consentration, however, has been in the area of design. I have been involved with the designing of more than 175 stage setting projects for community, educational, and semi professional theatres. I have still managed to find time for other creative efforts such as model railroading and woodcraft projects. If you are interested in knowing more about me, please E-mail me.

This is one of my creations that I call "Shakespeare on Wheels". Pictured is the stage design for "A Midsummer Night's Dream". This Elizabethan designed stage is mounted on a 40 foot long flatbed mobile trailer. When the sides are lowered a stage area 24 feet wide by 40 feet deep is created. All the elements of a typical Elizabethan stage are assembled in this space.....a thrust configuration, the inner stage, the balcony, the side entrances, and the canopy.

I specialize in the creation of miniatures for architectural projects, doll houses, and model train hobbyist. This is a partion of my N-Scale model railroad layout. Other interests:
